Campus Book Rentals!!

Now, I was in college many years ago (okay... only 4.. but it feels like a lifetime ago!) and I know I spent most of my money on books for classes. Most of my hard earned money working in retail store after retail store. I was not pleased to give up hundreds of dollars every semester only to never use the book again the minute I leave that final (yes, I admit it.).

Well, I have been doing some research for my little sister who is going off to college next year (I still can't believe she is old enough to go to college...but that's another blog post! LOL).

I found this great site called Campus Book Rentals. Renting Books.

Why didn't I know about this when I was in school?

You can get 40%-90% off book prices with free shipping both ways. You can rent for a semester or a quarter. These deals are great! This Engineering Book is 70% off.... Oh, I love 70% off of anything! haha

As well as getting great deals on books,  they donate. We all know how much I love donating and feel everyone should donate to some organization they support. They donate a portion of the profits of every rental to Operation Smile.

Coming from Campus Book Rentals:

"Operation Smile, an out of this world, awesome organization, that performs life changing cleft lip surgeries on children whose families could not otherwise afford it. The long term Improvement in quality of life for the children that receive these surgeries is almost incomprehensible. We have committed to donating enough to cover a minimum of 1,000 life changing surgeries. We hope To beat that number, but it's a significant commitment. "

In my opinion, if you have to get books anyway, why not get books cheaper and through an organization that donates!!!! I always get so happy when I see other companies donating. There are so many people in need out there that if everyone donated just a little bit the world would be a better place (yes, I sound corny, but it is how I feel).

Now, I can't wait to show my sister this website! I feel like I'm really helping her out with this one- since we all know I can't really afford to give her money for books, haha.

Do you know someone in college who could benefit from Campus Book Rentals? Show them the site!

  1. That is awesome - I know from the 10+ years my oldest daughter has gone to school (yes really) she has really learned the ins and outs of purchasing books. There are actually classes that say you need books but your really don't. She has so many bachelor's degrees. She started to be a forensic science major - then psychology, sociology, criminalogy, anthropology degrees - then she was a parole officer for the state of WV for two years and went to school at the same time - then education and biology major and masters in educations and NOW she is finally settling on an degree to become an RN in psychiatry to go on to be a nurse practitioner in psychiatry - and I hope it is final - so anywhoooo - she know a lot about books and I could probably buy a car with what she has paid for books:) sorry for babbling

  2. What I was going to say - also to help save on price of books - try to see if there are older versions of the textbook they suggest if you can't find one to rent - usually there are pretty much the same - Amber save tons of money doing that and got like a 300.00 book for 60.00
