#ValentinesDay #Gift Idea! #Handcrafted #Flower

Valentine's Day is right around the corner. Yea, I can't believe it either.

I feel every year around this time, everyone starts going a little crazy trying to decide what to get that special someone.

Flowers are always a staple for Valentine's Day- no matter what the cost, what the occasion really, flowers are always a great option to get your lady.

The bad part? They die within 2 weeks. No matter what ya do to keep those suckers alive, they will eventually turn brown, wilted, and you'll have to throw them out. [insert sad face here]

What if you could spend roughly the same amount of money for a flower that will never die. Yes, I said that. A flower that will forever be a gorgeous flower. A flower that will remind you of that special someone who gave it to you. Whenever you view this piece of gorgeousness you'll always smile. Don't you think that sounds nice? [c'mon, you know you do]

My friend makes these absolutely amazing copper flowers. Copper. Flowers. How cool! Look at this gorgeous work.... I'm still in awe he can make these- just stunning.

Look at that. I mean, seriously? WOW

I'm always just flabbergasted when I see metalwork like this. It is just crazy how people can make this stuff!

This flower will last forever. I guarantee your special someone will go nuts if you get this for them. This Gorgeous Copper Flower sells for only $100.

Looking on websites for flowers, (that I repeat, will only last 2 weeks), they range from $60- $100. For only a couple weeks worth of time? Why not get a handcrafted piece of art that will last a lifetime.

If you're interested in this copper flower (which, why wouldn't you be?) you can contact the creator, Mike, at this email address to purchase one: mike.asquino@gmail.com
Tell him I sent you if you do!! :)

Golden Globes Gift Lounge! #Coupon #Discount

The Golden Globes Gift Lounge is over the next 2 days!

I can't believe it is already the 2013 GBK Golden Globes Gift Lounge. I feel like it was only yesterday that we participated in the 2012 GG Gift Lounge Through The Artisan Group (TAG).

It was our first big event we have ever done with The Artisan Group. It has been one crazy whirlwind of a year and we are so appreciative of everything TAG has done for us.

Last year we had a specialty necklace on display and received this gorgeous picture of Jennifer Love Hewitt wearing this piece!

Gorgeous.

This year, we are not doing the display piece but we do have 100 bracelets in the SwagBags!

We are gifting our Unisex Charity Bracelets this year. We are so excited about this line, since we have had such great feedback from everyone about these bracelets!

In honor of this gift lounge we are offering a 40% discount on these Unisex Charity Bracelet!!

Can't wait for this Gift Lounge to start! Once we have any news about the celebs going through the lounge, I'll definitely be sure to let you all know here!

#JewelsForHope on #BetterCT

We had the BEST TIME on Better Connecticut yesterday!

We arrived at the studio thinking that the amazing Debbie Wright of Project Closet was going to be talking about our jewelry with Better Connecticut host, Kara.

Little did we know that WE were also going to be on the show. Oh yea... we did not know that ahead of time. I was bright red for the whole segment, my brand new shirt ripped before it started, and my mom almost passed out from heat. It was one of those mornings, haha. But overall- we think it went really well!

Everyone there was so nice and one of the women from the audience actually bought an item from our display! How cool!

Did you catch the segment? If not, I *think* it will be here at some point. So check it out!

Here are some photos from the day!

Jewels For Hope on @BetterCt Tomorrow!

Our friend Debbie at Project Closet is awesome.

She emailed us the other day saying our jewelry will be on Better Connecticut tomorrow! We get to go to the studio audience, bring our jewelry to set up, and she'll talk about it (with Kara) on Better CT!!! We are so excited!

This is so nice of Debbie to do this for us. She was amazing when we did the Photo Shoot with her company, Project Closet, and Brush Salon (which is amazing btw. If you need your hurrr did, go see Bobby!)

What a perfect way to start off the New Year!

We're bringing some of our new jewelry that we created for Save The Sound, The Lauren Rousseau Memorial Scholarship, and of course, some of our Charity Bracelets that are going to The Golden Globes Gift Lounge THIS WEEK. Yep, Friday and Saturday they will be in the hands of 100 celebrities!

Here's a sneak peak of one of the new items...

We Stop Hate Rainbow Swarovski Crystal & Pearl Bracelet

If you're in the CT area, we hope you check out the segment! I'll definitely take some photos backstage tomorrow and post them here!!

#Oscars Gift Lounge, Here I Come!

It's 100% Official and now I can scream it from the rooftops....

I'm going to...
The 2013 Oscars Gift Lounge in California in February!

Plane ticket, shuttle, and hotel room is booked. I am getting my outfits together and ready now (because you KNOW I need to plan this out and look good that week). In less than 2 months I will be there, representing the amazing, fabulous, TAG (The Artisan Group).

Valerie, the founder, asked me to go about 4 months ago, I think? I have been keeping my big mouth shut since then. I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT haha.

I have been so excited to go it's all I think about.

I'll be there from Feb 20th to Feb 24th. I'll be schmoozing with celebs, talking about all the fantastic handmade artists who are members of TAG, and be in HEAVEN. Yes, heaven. I have wanted to go to California since I was 15... many years ago. I literally have dreamed of going there- it's a magical place of course, where the sun is always shinning, the people are scary nice, and in my imagination, everyone sparkles a bit. Don't burst my bubble, I know this isn't true but let me think it.

Last year was extremely rough for me. I am happy to be starting fresh and having the world at my fingertips this year. This year, 2013, is my year. Starting off with a BANG of me heading to The Oscars Gift Lounge!

With me going to this awesome gift lounge, Jewels For Hope's jewelry will also be there, score! We created Swarovski Pearl Charity Bracelets for this event. I can't wait to promote them there!!

We are just finishing up making these bracelets (100!) so once I get to packaging I'll be showing you all the behind the scenes photos!

Until then- I'll be daydreaming of my time in Cali. AH. I can't wait. Stay tuned for more posts of me freaking out as the time gets closer... What to wear, what to wear?

JewelsForHope Featured in Ladies Home Journal

Woke up to a lovely surprise yesterday!

Our Charity Glam Bracelet was featured in The February 2013 Issue of Ladies Home Journal!

I am so happy- my mother and I started screaming when we found out. We couldn't believe it really happened!

The Editor-In-Chief, Sally Lee, wore our bracelet and then mentioned a little blurb about us! When we were visiting the Ladies Home Journal photo shoot set (for a future issue) we did NOT expect anything to happen with Jewels For Hope. Of course, we were just talking away to the people around us about our company- like we normally do- and had no idea that Sally was in the room listening. She snatched up a bracelet and said "I'll wear this". I WAS SHOCKED. I kept saying "oh, thank you so much" and "that's so nice of you" just because I couldn't believe what was happening- that was the only thing that would come out of my mouth haha.

Now... what you all have been waiting for... the photo!

Isn't this awesome?

They did a little "pop-up" picture and everything! This magazine hasn't even hit newstands yet and we already  received a ton of inquiries on this bracelet and other Glam Bracelets in our shop!

We are so incredibly grateful for this. I had a really rough couple of weeks and this just got me out of my funk. Sally was so sweet to do this, my mother and I will always remember this.
