What's in your makeup bag- Contest!

Happy Tuesday everyone! I'm a little late in writing this post today because my baby sister came home from California this morning! She went there on a school trip for a week. Oh, how I missed her! And how jealous I am because she is so nice and tan now. Witch.

Anyway- As I was browsing through my daily blogs, I saw that Scenic Glory is now having a What's in Your Makeup Bag CONTEST!! Woo Hoo! I love contests. Whoever wins this will win a Urban Decay makeup pallet. Um, wait until you see my Urban Decay makeup pallet I took a picture of in my case. Um, it's a disgrace. It's so dirty I feel embarrassed even showing you guys- but this is me; take it or leave it- most of the colors I love are gone because I have had this pallet for YEARS. So I could use a new one.

Look how sad my Urban Decay pallet is on the bottom right ha ha. I can't force myself to part with it though. I love that pallet. I'm going to keep it until literally every last drop of eyeshadow is gone from it <3 I know you ladies out there must have that one makeup item you refuse to let go. Maybe its a lipstick from the 90s? Maybe it's that special mascara that is mostly dried up at this point. But-everyone has at least one makeup item you wont part with. So I know you understand!

Look how fun that glitter is! I've still never actually used these (they were a gift from xmas). I have no clue what I can do with this much glitter, but I know one day- I will find that perfect outfit I get to use it with. I especially love the names- which is why I took pictures of the bottom of them ha ha.

Broken Shoes & Giveaway Winner!

One of my friends calls me the walking jinx. It's true- the world uses me as comedic relief. I totally embrace the fact that I have horrible luck. I am just so used to it, it's funny at this point.

Example you ask? Okay. If you have been reading my blog for some time, you may know that I was horribly sick last year for 8 months. So I missed a TON of work. Earlier on in my sickness my then boyfriend(now fiance) bought me two lady gaga tickets for my birthday which was months later. I WAS THRILLED. I love gaga. So- as time goes on and I am not getting any better- I didn't care- I was going to that damn concert if it killed me. I had been puking all day and still was going. Paul and I went to the concert (yes, the fiance gave the tickets for me and my best friend) and who do I see out of THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE? Yep. Guess...... MY BOSS.

Well... since I am just used to having stuff like this happen to me- I was expecting something horrible to happen this past weekend at the wedding. So it was no surprise to me when I am walking over and meeting my fiance's god parents for the first time, and my shoe cracks in half and I stumble a bit like I'm drunk. NO SURPRISE AT ALL.


I started cracking up. Of course this was also extremely upsetting since these are my favorite shoes and I practically wear them every day. But the fiance's family was so nice- his cousin went around everywhere looking for superglue for me. It was so sweet. Thank god my parents only live 20 minutes away from this place- they brought me new shoes :)

Other then this hysterical mishap- I had an amazzzingggg time at the wedding. Here are some snazzy shots of us <3







Yes. I had to do a bathroom shot also. Just because I loveeddd the way my hair came out. One of my besties came over and did my hair before hand. It took her 3 hours. I love her for it. Everyone complimented me on it all night. So even though I was literally falling over during the night- I looked hot while doing it.

Hi Everyone! I hope you so far are having a nice weekend. This post has to be somewhat short and sweet because today I have my fiance's brothers wedding. AH!?@!?>#!>#!@!? Should be completely interesting. I'll take tons of pics, don't worry. You'll get to see the whole shit show right here! Also, last night I went to go hear my father play- he is in a band. And I took some great pics of how good I looked hahaha. So, more to come on that!

Assignment; FAILED... But Giveaway Winner Announced!

So, yesterday's post I discussed how I wanted to do the Bloggers Do It Better assignment last night when I went to my fiance's brothers rehearsal dinner. FAIL.

I had planned on taking my time finding an outfit to wear. I wanted to look pretty and also do the assignment. Figure kill two birds with one stone since I had to get all dressy for the dinner anyway. Well, my fiance told me to be ready by 7:30-8:00 because that's when they should be finished and then I could meet them at the restaurant for dinner. Nope. at 6:00 I get a phone call "hey babe, uhhh...... I'm going to come pick you up now- we're finished". UM, WHAT. No. My clothes were still in the dryer at this point, because I figured I had PLENTY of time to get ready. Well, I had to hall ass and pretty much put anything on. I did not look great and was no where near what the assignment had called for ha ha.

So my solution in being rushed, not getting to wear my perfect outfit, and then being the last ones to walk into the rehearsal dinner? I got drunk.

Yep. Me=drunk. Now, let me tell you... before the surgery I had last year- I could drink. Not saying I'm an alcoholic, but I was definitely not a light weight. Since I did not drink for 8 months last year- I became a HUGE lightweight. Last night I only had 3 glasses of wine. and I was not tipsy- I was definitely drunk. It's so depressing ha ha. But at least I'm a cheap date, right?

Well.. I held my composure the entire time at the rehearsal dinner at least. You'd be proud that I did not stumble, slurr, hit, puke on, or scream at people. I was a perfect lady. Until the second we walked out of the restaurant and got into the car- in which I screamed at the top of my lungs "Beast of Burden" by the Rolling Stones (it's mine and my mother's song <3) - while having the window down so everyone can hear my beautiful, tone deaf singing.

Yea. It was a good night.

I cannot believe this. I was thrilled to get this- especially from such a great blogger. Brandy from Newly Crunchy Mama of 3 passed this award on to me. I absolutely love Brandy's blog. Also, she is just so freaking sweet. I know previously I have mentioned how nice she is- but of course, I'm telling you all again :) My mother did a giveaway for Jewels for Hope on her blog- and talked Brandy's ear off. I felt so bad! ha ha. But Brandy was so sweet and nice and didn't scream at this crazy woman (my mother) to say stop talking to me!

7 things about me (this should be interesting....)

1. I have a gambling problem. I big gambling problem. It's not one of those sick problems like I go and max out my credit cards and spend thousands of dollars on the tables. I feel my problem may be a little worse because I only pay the slots. And usually its the penny slots. and I STILLLL loose hundreds of dollars. haha But it makes me happy.... so it can't be that bad, right?

2. I absolutely hate the smell of rain/water. I know, it's very strange because a lot of people love that smell. But even when I'm brushing my teeth- I can't leave the water running because I just can't stand that smell. yuck.

3. I can quote almost every episode of Will & Grace and The Golden Girls. My bestie, Paul, also knows every episode. When I make jokes and reference one of these shows- he usually finishes my sentence and says the next line. Yes, it is weird for people who don't know these shows- but I'm fine with being a tad bit weird :)

4. At my last job, in a call center, every day without fail someone would ask me if I was a man. Mind you, this would be after 20 minutes of talking to them. Since I am a nice person and like to make my co-workers smile, whenever someone would ask me this over the phone- I would scream back into the phone (so everyone in the call center would hear) "YES SIR, I AM A WOMAN. I AM NOT A MAN". Everyone in the call center loved that.

5. My room is filled with tons and tons of books. I have 5 bins along with a huge bookcase of books. I love reading- and usually end up re-reading the books I have 10x each. They make me happy.

6. I watch Jerseylicious. I know, it's such bad television. But I can't help it. Actually, my fiance got me hooked on it. Yea- HE WATCHES IT! At least that makes me feel a little better at least lol.

7. I threw up 20x a day for 8 months last year (and gained weight from it) because the doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. Turns out, my gal bladder wasn't functioning. I had it removed and now I am muchhh better thank god! But, now I am prepared for morning sickness once I'm pregnant. That is what I kept telling myself for the 8months of vomitting haha.

Bloggers do it better!

I love this idea. Pretty Shiny Sparkly has come up with Bloggers Do It Better. Every week there is a fashion challenge you can participate in. I'm super excited about this. I plan on trying to do this weeks assignment today... which is Color Blocking or Bold Colorful Stripes. AH! I can't wait to play around with some looks to see what I can come up with. I'm going to wear it tonight for the rehearsal dinner I have to go to (my fiance's brothers rehearsal dinner. ah!).

Hi everyone!

I had to do an extra post today because SnapShots Fashion used my picture for one of their SnapShot Readers post! AH! So exciting! I love anything fashion related- and the fact that they showed one of my outfits makes me smile.

I always love reading their blog- they always have awesome fashion tips on there! Ever since I got back into blogging, I have had so much inspiration to dress nicer. I am loving it! And I really love the fashion community online. Everyone is so nice and really has an amazing passion for fashion. Right up my alley!

Craft Perfection

Normally, I don't really buy wood products that much. Which I know is strange since this is now my 2nd time writing about wood.... But for some reason, whenever I am browsing etsy- I find all of the wood products to be something I absolutely neeeeed. Yes, I have a shopping issue- but for now I am staying in denial and will mention nothing of that during the rest of this post. So.. Onto the wood!

This purchase was for a craft fair my mother and I did. I needed a display stand for my greeting cards I make. This stand was the PERFECT FIT for my stuff. Take a look...


That's the stand in the back. This gorgeous, wood stand was created by Wudls Woodshop on Etsy. The craftsmanship of this craftstand is amazing. And it really does showcase my cards in the best possibe manor.

He has jewelry holders, card holders, ribbon holders... pretty much anything you need to display your work. Personally, before I bought this, I never thought I needed a display like this. I usually just had my cards in boxes laying around the table. But now that I know how good it looks in this display- I could never go back.
