Extra/Early Entries! Christmas in July- BlackGypsyDesigns!

I love introducing new sponsors to all of you fabulous readers!!!

Another one of my sponsors for the Christmas in July Event (July25th-July31st) is the fabulous Black Gypsy Designs!!

Hanna, the creator of this shop, makes the cutest handmade clutches!!! I have a thing for purses/clutches/wristlets.. really, I have a shopping problem. Well, I love her clutches! I think they are absolutely perfect for going out on the town or even for just running errands! I know most days, even though I do carry a monsterous bag around constantly, when I go into stores I like to just carry a small clutch with me that holds money/cc/etc. This would be perfect!

I love how bright this yellow clutch is! I love anything bright and loud and think this would be the perfect accessory to spice up any outfit! I could picture myself wearing a cute black and white outfit with this pop of color! So cute!!

Now, a little bit about Hanna?

"I came to US from Ukraine when I was a teenager, and I want to be a lawyer or a doctor but I used to carry a notebook with me and draw (very badly) pictures of clothes I would like to make. I am very glad Etsy website exist because now I can share my love for handmade things with a world. I came up with a my company's name because my greatgreatgrandfather was a gypsy and I have been called one in Ukraine all my life. I invite everyone to my shop and hope you enjoy it."

Well, Hanna was so nice to offer one of her clutches for the Christmas in July Event! Want to see what it looks like? It's gorgeous!

Pics Petals & Scents Review!

I was lucky enough to find Pics Petals Scents on Etsy! Marcy, the owner, is such a pleasure to work with and her items are stunning! Marcy generously offered to participate in the Christmas in July Giveaway Event start on July 25th! (Which is actually Marcy's birthday!!)

Marcy sent me some handmade soap to review and I just love it! It was packaged so nicely it was like opening a present on Christmas morning!

I love it when things are wrapped in ribbon. My mom hates the fact that I put ribbon on EVERYTHING, but I think it adds a special touch to it!

Once I got through the ribbon, here is the rest of my package:

Look how gorgeous this soap is!

I have used a ton of handmade soaps before and I have to say, this soap has such a strong scented aroma through the packaging it was amazing! I personally love strong scented soaps- I actually sat there smelling the soaps for about 10 minutes when I first opened the package.

I kept running around my house to my family saying "smell this!!!!"

Marcy provided me with Honeysuckle (blue) and Papaya & Dragon Fruit (pink). They both smell incredible but my favorite is the Papaya and Dragon Fruit. While being such a strong scent, it still has a light and airy feel about it. Which is perfect!

Along with having it smell amazing- did you see the detail in that picture? My camera definitely does not do it justice... but all of those petals on the flower look so lifelike! I almost didn't want to use it and just keep it as a decoration instead!

Along with making handmade soaps, Pics Petals Scents also makes candles!

You can try and win one of Marcy's Scent-a-licious Candles RIGHT NOW! CLICK HERE! This giveaway will end on 7/24!

Stay tuned to see more from Pics Petals Scents for the Christmas in July Giveaway starting on July 25th!!!!

Jewels for Hope will be donating swag for the 2012 Oscars!

Jewels for Hope is pleased to announce that we will be donating items to swag bags for the 2012 Pre Oscar Gift Lounge! I am still in shock that this is happening!

I found this amazing group of talented artists, The Artisan Group!

"The Artisan Group is an exclusive group of talented artisans who collectively provide a lovely sampling of our hand-crafted products to celebrities at major award show Gift Lounges. Artists can also elect to provide one item of their choosing to go on display at our Gift Lounge exhibit where celebrities stop by to hear about our artist's products"

I found this website completely by chance through Martha Stewart Dreamers into Doers (which also has a great group of artists there!

The Artisan Group has welomed me with open arms! Everyone there is so nice and supportive and really reach out to everyone in the group!

I was looking through their gallery that has all different celebs holding their beautiful handmade items! What great promotion! I would kill to have one of our pieces actually photographed with a celeb! We just need one celeb to really connect with one of our causes. We wish we could donate more to the organizations we currently support... this may be our chance!

You should definitely check them out either on their main page listed above, or their Facebook Page which is also a very informative group! I am excited to see how the Oscar event will go down.We are jumping up and down already just thinking about it! My mother and I are getting everything together now and planning and seeing what we want to inlcude!

Don't worry, we will keep you updated every step of the way! Seeing as how this isn't until Feb 2012... we have some time. <3

EARLY/EXTRA ENTRIES! Christmas in July Sponsor: Sew Stylish Boutique!

Hi All!
Christmas in July Giveaway starts in 10 days! To give you some extra time to get your entries in, I am starting my Early/Extra Entries! Wooo hooo!

Today will be the start of the Early/Extra Entries. Be sure to keep checking back during the next 10 days to see what other Early Entries you could enter! I'll be posting all different days!

Sew Stylish Boutique, one of my amazing sponsors, is offering this adorable headband below:

Retail Value: $11.95

Info:

This beautiful headband owes its delicate apperance to a completely new techique in headband making. Placed on a light, flexiable, wire.
Its so light weight that you won't know your wearing a headband.

This is not your typical headband. First you will notice a thin (nickel free) silver wire instead of a band. That is the innovative part. It is nearly invisible when placed on your head. The ends of the headband are finished with tiny rhinestones that help to hold it to your head. The flower is hand made and hand placed on the wire. I love how the flower looks like it is sitting in the hair but not attached with clips. You will receve compliments on this flower. Throw your hair up in a messy bun or ponytail and wrap the wire around it secure it with a Bobbie Pin and it will look like you spent hours on you hair.

For those who love headbands but can't stand the uncomfortable sensation digging into the sides of your head, or if you wear glasses, this is the one for you!

You wrap the ends around your head and under your hair, adjust the flower to the postion you love.
Not only is this a headband it can also be worn in an updo and around your neck as a necklace.

Fits all sizes: Babies to Adult

Want to win it!

**These entries will be open until the END of the Christmas in July Event, July 31st.**
*** This is only open to the U.S.***

Christmas in July Sponsor Spotlight: Hooked on Yanr CT

I love sponsors. I love doing everything I can to promote handmade items. I am thrilled so many handmade artists are willing to sponsor giveaways on blog.

Another sponsor I have for the Christmas in July giveaway (starting on July 25th!) is Hooked on Yarn Ct! Now, you may recall that this sponsor is actually one of my family members! My aunt Lori, is the creator of Hooked on Yarn Ct! She has sponsored giveaways before on the blog and I am so grateful!

I love her items. I have some scarves of hers that she has given me years ago that I still use! I also love her "specialty" items- when it is a little less hot out, she creates baby blankets (they are a ton of work so she prefers to do them only in the colder months- totally understandable to me lol). But they are truly works of art! I love them!

Some of her other items that she has readily available now, are funky scarves, trivets, headbands, key ring holders and much more!Have a look...

I love the scarf!!! Black and pink are so my colors. And it has such a fun twirly quality about it, I feel like if I were wearing it I would want to just spin around all day!

Well, one of my fabulous readers will get the chance to win one of her items! Woo Hoo! I can't wait to show you what it is.....but of course I am not telling you now. What fun would that be? You're going to have to check back later and see!

Christmas in July Sponsor Spotlight-Sew Stylish Boutique!

The Christmas in July event is approaching quickly! Are you excited! There are over 120 blog participating in this event and each blog is giving away $50 worth of prizes! This event goes from July 25th- July 31st!

One of my amazing sponsors is Sew Stylish Boutique. The name really attracted me to this store since I love the play on words. This shop has such an assortment of items! What originally drew me to view this shop was the headbands. I have a huge mess of big curly hair (most of the time) and looking through the selection of headbands from this shop I thought they would all look great on me! Not trying to sound full of myself or anything haha.

Along with carrying a ton of funky headbands (my favorite is the first picture! So cute!) Sew Stylish Boutique also has a ton of other items like hair clips, baby booties, car seat covers, baby sets and much more!

My absolute FAVORITE baby set on her shop is this neon pink zebra one! Oh, for my friends baby shower at the end of the month this would be perfect for it! Here is a picture of the bib:

Yes, we know I am addicted to zebra print. But even you non-animal print lovers out there have to think this is cute!

Some information about the amazing creators of Sew Stylish Boutique?

"Sew Stylish Boutique is the creative outlet for two friends, Rose and Heather. You will find many different items in our boutique. Our men, Joe and Andrew, who are brothers, are known in the remote control airplane world as the "Flying Jeskys". When they are busy with the airplanes we are busy crafting, even if its at the flying field."

Rose (Married to Joe) States: I am a stay at home mom of 3 young children with an artsy side. I love to create things that are beautiful and fun. I am also a licensed hair stylist and love things to do with hair. I am excited to present my design for a headband that is totally unique.

Heather (Long time girlfriend of Andrews) States: When I am not working I am crafting or sewing! I started out making baskets with my mom, then went on and learned how to sew in 4-H. I am always looking for something new to create.

Rose and Heather so graciously will be giving away an item from their Etsy Shop for the Christmas in July giveaway! Of course, I am not going to tell you what the item is yet....

But I will let you know there will be EARLY ENTRIES into this giveaway! So be sure to check back within the next week to enter! Or you can feel free to just stop by at the start of the event on July 25th!! You can still enter those "early entries" during the event :)
