Times, They Are A Changing....

It has been some time since I've posted.

Tons going on, lots of really big changes, and a lot of stress.

We are moving.
We are giving up our puppies ( if you're in the CT area and are in the market for two adorable black labs, please email me stevie@jewelsforhope.net)

We are preparing items for the Emmys Gift Lounge
We are preparing items for another gift lounge I am not at liberty to announce yet :)
Packing, Packing, Packing.

Just a ton going on. Most days I can't even think straight.

I miss blogging.

I miss writing about great products. I miss getting dressed up and doing things, to then come back here and write about.

Times, they are a changing.

and I have to learn how to cope with it all.

I hope to be back to my normal bloggy, jewelry making self, once we get settled in our apartment (next month).

Until then, don't hate me for the sporadic posts. I'll do my best to try and post more- maybe that will make me feel a little bit more in control of this whole situation. :)

Thanks for listening to me vent!

Again, if you know anyone looking for two amazing labs... please email me! They really need a good home!!

The 15 Hour Cuff!

I was so inspired the other day I had to start creating.

I worked on this cuff for 15 hours and finally it is completed! I feel so accomplished, so proud, so in love with this bracelet. So I'm not giving it up, haha. My first new design like this, I want it for me.

Here it is. Tell me what you think!!

We've Been Freshly Launched! @launchHER

We love the fabulous ladies at Launch Her (check them out!) and they decided that today, Friday 13th (so fitting for us!) that Jewels For Hope will officially be Freshly Launched!

Have you ever heard of Launch Her? I'm assuming yes, but I will give you a little background. Launch Her does wonders to promote women owned brands. They love handmade, love women owned business, and are all around great ladies.

The women who run Launch Her, Kara & Tracy, also have shown a ton of love to my favorite group (that I feel I mention all the time, haha) The Artisan Group. Tons of fine members of this group have been Freshly Launched. You can check out some of those members on TAG's Pintrest Board!

Now that I gave you some background... Go check out our feature! It's awesome and we are just so honored to be Freshly Launched.

Thank You Launch Her!

Mila Kunis & Jewels For Hope! #JewelsForHope #MilaKunis

I have been a fan of Mila Kunis since her days on That 70s Show. I think she is so funny and such a great actress. Well, we had the opportunity to gift her (through The Artisan Group. Yes, I always mention that- if you're handmade- CHECK THEM OUT. They rock! But, I digress....) and we just found out the gift bag we included our items in was just delivered to her reps in NYC!!!

Now, I don't know if any of you have seen Ted yet --> The new movie Mila stars in. I just saw it the other day, and have to say- I loved it (stupid humor- which I really needed a good laugh- and I did!). The whole time I watched it, I thought of how great she'll look in our jewels. I really hope she likes them!

We sent Mila two bracelets. Both bracelets color coded to Maya's Hope (great organization that helps disadvantaged kids living in extreme poverty). Hopefully Mila will get these bracelets sometime within the next couple of weeks. Ah! So exciting!

Here is what we sent her:

Black and Pink Glam Bracelet (to be added on the site soon!)

Just another celebrity I'm going to have to watch religiously to see if she sports either of these bracelets. No problem though! Mila seems like she is SUCH  nice person. I love following her career. :)

Christina Hendricks and Jewels For Hope! #JewelsForHope

A little while back, we were lucky enough to have the opportunity (through The Artisan Group) to gift Christina Hendricks!

We made this Mad Men star a gorgeous (if I say so myself) set - Swarovski Pearl & Crystal Bracelet with matching earrings. We received confirmation that Christina just got our swag bag! Woo Hoo!

I now have to put my stalking hat on (not in a creepy way, swear!) to try and spot Christina wearing our jewels. She currently is in Paris - so she's probably way to busy to dig into all the fabulous handmade items in her swag bag right now- but I plan on keeping my eyes peeled to see if she wears it. Be on the lookout for me! If you see her rocking our jewels, feel free to email me haha. If I see it- I'll shout it from the rooftops!

Here are the items we sent the fabulous Christina Hendricks!

Now it's time to scour the celeb websites and see what I find. Wish me luck!

Shanna's Tie Dye is #Groovy! @Shannastiedy

I can't talk enough about how amazing The Artisan Group is and how I continue to find amazingly awesome handmade products through them.

One of the awesome shops I came across is Shanna's Tie Dye. Shanna actually gave me one of her Tie Dye'd sarongs (so pretty!) and I am in awe about how great it is. I tried tiedying (is that a word?) a couple of years ago and mine did not come out ANYTHING like this. Don't worry, I won't show you mine (because yes, the shirt I tried making is still hanging in the back of my closet lol)

Here's the gorgeous sarong:

Isn't this awesome? And isn't my fabulous sister awesome for posing with it haha.

I pretty much love all tie dye. I find it so fun and it just makes me smile. Shanna has a TON of other really cool tie dye pieces in her shop- you definitely should go check them out. Here are some of my faves...

Ready to Ship TIe Dye cotton tights size 7-10

#Roshon Wearing Jewels For Hope in his Music Video!

Roshon Fegan of Disney's Shake It Up & Dancing With The Stars wore our Unisex Charity Bracelet in his recent music video for "I Dooz This" !!!!!!!!

We are so excited, we started screaming and jumping around like little kids when we first saw it. Yes, I am not ashamed to admit this. We are having some very tough times right now and this made us just so happy this morning! We needed this :)

Here is a photo of him (that he tweeted!) wearing our bracelet at The MTV Movie Awards Gift Lounge .... so you could see what the bracelet looks like. Then below is the video- so you can watch it and scope out our bracelet!

And now, for the video....

Here's a screen shot of him wearing the bracelet in the Video... YAY!

So, If by some strange twist of fate- if Roshon or any of Roshon's people see this post- THANK YOU. I can't say it enough, really.... You made my mother and myself just so happy today.

Our first IndieGoGo Campaign

We have seen so many great campaigns on Indiegogo and Kickstarter recently that we decided we are going to try our own. We are in desperate need of new supplies -- hence us selling all of our old supplies to make money for new supplies.

We have sooo much supplies that we do not need- that we purchased "just in case" or me saying "I'd love to learn how to do this...". We are cleaning out and selling. What we actually need though, in order to complete our products for the upcoming gift lounges, we don't have.  That's where IndieGoGo comes into play.

Here is our campaign to raise money for supplies. I'd love it if you checked it out, or maybe give it a tweet or share! :)

Thanks!!!!!
