Lets go to France!

So I am doing my Friday Post a little bit early since tomorrow morning I actually have an interview! YAY! Keep your fingers and toes crossed for me please!!!

.. So.. FRANCE!

I would love to go to France one day. But since I can't speak one ounce of french and would most likely get lost the second I step off the plane- I see this not happening in the future.

Good thing I can go to the $5 French Market and get my little bit of France here! I absolutely love this etsy shop. I bought some little notebooks from it for gifts last year- and I just thought they were the cutest things!

Look at this journal. I bought one similar for my soon to be sister-in-law. I have no clue how she felt about it (because she doesn't really care for me to tell me the truth) but I thought it was a sweet and thoughtful gift to give her. I gave her a "bride specific" one for xmas... since she is getting married in actually less than 2 weeks. But I digress....

The 5Dollar French Market makes me smile. You get awesome quality products for.. wait for it.... ONLY 5 DOLLARS!!! When I first found this site I thought it was a complete joke. I thought I was going to click on an item, go through checkout, and then a little popup saying "GOTCHYA" would come up saying it really costs triple. But no! These items are the perfect little something to give to someone- occasion or not.

The great thing about this shop is- they have the largest selection of items, ever! They have adorable journals- pillows- paperweights, OH MY!

Best part? ONLY $5! I still can't get over that. I don't think I ever will. I'll continue to be baffled at how great of products you get for only $5. Also- I think these are pretty fashionable gifts. I love anything vintage-y and that is what this reminds me of. I wish I had more friends to buy this stuff for. Well, actually really I wish I wasn't unemployed and could buy myself some great pieces from this shop haha. Oh, I crack myself up!

So to all you thrifty, french, vintagey, fashion loving, deal searchers out there- check out the 5 Dollar French Market! You won't be disappointed!

Thirsty Thursday!

I hope you all are having a great week so far! Today actually my mother and I are going to our second boutique to place some items in there! AH! So exciting! So I actually have to get ready in a little bit. For now, I am joining the Thirsty Thursday blog hop. Because really, who doesn't love Thirsty Thursdays?

Obviously MARvelous

Later on, after I bake my fiance the cake pops he has been begging me to do for over a week now- I plan on grabbing a glass of wine and blogging around. Wow, sounds pretty skanky when I put it that way haha. Oops. Well, you ladies know how it is. We blog around all the time.

I know it always makes me smile <3

Until later!

ps. I will continue to hound everyone to check out my giveaways.

Responses on them make me giddy.

Reallly Low Entry Giveaway!!!!

Who doesn't love yummy cookies? I know I do! Check out my giveaway from
Design Your Own Cake!

Delicious Easter Cookies are calling your name!

Relax and Make Friends Blog Hop!

Relax and Make Friends Blog Hop

So, this is my first post about a blog hop. I'm excited about it. I occasionally participate in these hops but I never know what to write about in a post like this so I don't do as many of them as I would like to.

Well, This blog hop looked fun and relaxing. Both blogs that are hosting it, Rachel's Reviews and Mom Always Finds Out are great blogs. I am newly following them only for a couple of days- But they are really great blogs and I loveee their layouts!

Since this is all about the relaxing and making friends.. I'm going to curl up with a cup of coffee and browse around.

Happy Blogging Everyone!

Caution: This Post is Offensive

Okay, to get to know me a little bit better- I find most offensive items to be hysterical. I love it. I'm not talking about being mean to people or anything like that. Nothing racist, or sexist, or anything that could hurt someones feelings. But I like funny.

I recently made some cards that I am IN LOVE WITH and find them to be hysterical. But they're a tad bit offensive lol. I showed them to my fiance the other day and he just looked at me like, "really?". I laughed for 10 minutes at how funny I thought the cards were. He just stared. I find myself overly hysterical when most other people don't. But I'm fine with that. Take a look at the cards.

I find these to be hysterical. And not just because I made them. If I saw a card anywhere with "screw you" on it, I would have to buy it immediately to give to someone- even if there was no occasion for it. Am I alone in this? I just find this funny. Then again.. my father's nickname for me is dickhead- which I also find funny. He even had it put on my birthday cake one year- everyone who came over thought we were f*n crazy when they saw that cake. I almost passed out from laughing so much lol.

Yea, I'm sharing some major stuff with you here. You all may think I'm nuts now- but this is just how I am. I like to laugh and joke around. Laughing makes you live longer. It helps the soul. So if an offensive item here or there helps make you laugh- I support it. I know just writing this post this morning has made me have a smile on my face the whole time. So my day is starting off pretty great.

Hope you all have a great day!

DON'T FORGET to check out my giveaways!!!! You could win some yummy Easter cookies and a great summer necklace & anklet!

Shoe Bling? Yes or no?

So, I would love some opinions here on my next project I want to do. I really want to try to make shoe rings. You ask what a shoe ring is? Well.. it's pretty simple. A ring to put on a shoe haha. I saw it once in some magazine I can't remember and I want to start making them. But of course- add my own flair to it. Now, I have a picture of me below showing my outfit and then a close up of my shoe ring. Pleas don't laugh at me. This was the only semi-decent photo out of like 50. My sister was ready to kill me bc I just don't photograph well when it's a full body picture lol.

And to throw in an extra-- here is my sister turning away, grasping on our closet door in a fit of laughter at all of the horrible pictures I am taking.

So. What do you think of the shoe bling? I kinda want to make a bunch of them in a spiral design so you could wrap it around the heel and it would be like 3 turns around it. Then I would try and do some simple ones like the one shown on my picture. Opinion? Would you wear these? I know I think it's a fun idea- but I'm a little out there and not sure if my ideas are actually good for other people lol.

Let me know what you think.. And if I get some good feedback about these- maybe I'll have some of you be my testers to see if they actually hold up in real life. I still need to work out all the kinks so I'm just checking to see if people actually would use something like this. My sister thinks its ridiculous and almost refused to photograph me lol. So... do you side with me or my sister?

Easter Cookie Giveaway!

I am proud to announce that one of my favorite cookie bakers will be sponsoring this giveaway! I mentioned this fabulous etsy shop earlier on in my posts... Design Your Own Cake on etsy. Rita has decided she wants to do an Easter giveaway for all you fabulous followers of Jewels for Hope!

I wear glamour, or nothing at all.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! This was my first weekend where I really didn't have a set schedule- and I freaking loved it. Normally my fiance has my weekends booked up with family events he has going on. So this weekend- I made him take me to the mall for some window shopping, then out to lunch. It was cute.

Now, I like to think of myself as a pretty fashionable person. Granted, I love to wear my sweat pants and a hoodie on most days- but when I'm going out I like to dress the part. I love love love anything pink and sparkly. Which gets me to my review...

Towards the end of last year, all I told my mother I wanted for xmas was a makeup case to hold my brushes and brush cleaner to make my old nasty brushes pretty again. Well, I got one out of two and I was so happy she choose to get the makeup case. She bought it from Pink Glitter Boutique on etsy.

My mother bought me this AWESOME roller brush case along with a huge makeup case. I'm in love <3 The fabric used on both are so me. They have "Fashion Smart" written on them and it is all pink white and black. Here.. look below!

That is so me, right? Well.. it is. haha. And since I have a monstrous purse, both of these cases fit perfectly comfy in there. Most people don't carry bags the size I do tho- so I think only the brush portion would fit nicely in someone elses bag. But then this great carrying case can be used while traveling. Either way- they both rock. Check out her etsy site.

Here are some professional pictures that are featured on her website. My pictures didn't do her items justice. If you're a fan of pink sparkly amazingness- take a browse on her shop.

UMMM.. She makes tampon pouches!!! I think that is the coolest thing ever. I may have to get me one of those because I think that is adorable. And also because I tend to waste every tampon I put in my purse bc I end up throwing it in there "just in case" in the middle of the month and by the time I actually get my period the wrapper is already off and the tampon is shoved to the bottom of my bag usually around my lotion or antibacterial gel I keep. That's a no no.

Have a great day everyone! And don't forget... check out my giveaway for a great Jewels for Hope necklace and anklet!

I hate the internet.

hi everyone! you ever have one of those days where everything is just going wrong? haha. i am writing this post from my blackberry right now since my internet for some odd reason isnt working. so i apologize ahead of time for all the typos youll see. my short stubby fingers dont mix well with a blackberry for long typing sessions. hopefully ill be able to do a real ost later on today. until then....

my original question- ever have a day when everything goes wrong? lol i woke up this morning like a girl on xmas morning. my bestie, paul, and myself are obsesssssed with jamba juice. when i lived in nyc i went there pretty much every day. well today was the day that jamba was coming to ct! we have been talking about this for weeeeeeks and counting down the days. i was up at 8am this morning ready for a delicious smoothie. paul and i had plans to go at 10. i got all dolled up since i planned on writing about jamba today and wanted to take some great pics at my place of worship. we get there at 10 and guess what? i know you can guess it! they werent open!!!! online it stated april 1st but noooooooo. i was devestated. and now im home awith no internet lol

one of those days! gotta love april fools day right? even tho jamba was a disapointment today- i had the best time with paul. we always do. he is the will to my grace. so my day really isnt as bad as im making it out to be lol other then the f*n hand cramp im getting from writing on this mini keyboard hahaha

happy friday all!
