I'm Obsessed with Weddings
I absolutely love weddings. I have always loved weddings. Which is weird, since I have only been to 2 weddings in my life- my aunt's backyard wedding, and recenetly my fiance's brothers wedding.
I know most women love weddings- I think it's in our blood. I love seeing what people come up with and how they design it. How they have unique little things placed around.
Well, since I am in the process of planning my very own wedding- well, kind of in the process. I'm getting married in 2-3 years but I'm planning now. I know that sounds crazy- having it be so far away, but I love planning. I love finding new things. So I'll take the full 2 years to plan.
One of my favorite blogs on the web is the Bridal Gown Blog. I love going to this blog and browsing around. Kerrie finds the best stuff here! One of my absolute favorite things she has shown is something I plan on looking into for my wedding. A button bouquet.
Please go and take a look at her post about the button bouquets (link above). The pics she has showcasing the bouquets are stunning! Since seeing this post, I have seen more and more button bouquets popping up everywhere! Normally, I like being different and unique- so the fact that these are popping up everywhere and I STILL want to use this idea, is something!
From searching the web, I found some AMAZING looking button bouquets! You have got to check them out...
I am in love with all of these! I think each button bouquet in the world is different for each specific bride. The possibilities are endless! That's what I just fell in love with. Every bride deserves to feel special on their wedding day- these bouquets can really make you feel that way!
Oh, the choices! Thank God I have 2 years to decide! haha

Yes, We're Famous.
I hope you all had a great 4th of July! We had gorgeous (hot) weather here in Connecticut! And, this weekend was actually a biggie for myself and my mother! We were on TV! Yes, you read that correctly. I still can't believe it happened! We were interviewed by WTNH Channel 8 News- Good Morning Connecticut. The video is not online yet- but once it becomes available I'll definitly post it here.
I was such a mess that morning (Saturday). I woke up at 4:15 to get ready. We left the house at 5:45. We were scheduled to go on at 7:23. It all happened so fast! I have some great pics here of us discussing the jewelry and what not.
We were interviewed by Kristen Cusato! She is so nice. She made me feel so relaxed while on air. Well, as relaxed as I could be ha ha. Here are some shots of us:
We recorded the show and came back and watched it immediately. I look... okay. haha. I am just thrilled that the jewelry got such a public recognition! Big things are happening people, big things! Stay tuned for the video. And, don't laugh when I post it here. haha

Yankee's Suite Experience!
If you didn't know... I won my father and myself two Yankee's Suite Tickets through Lord and Taylor! It was absolutely amazing. Something I have never experienced before. The game was this past Tuesday.
We left at 3:45 for a 7:05 game. We hit NO traffic the whole way down. I was shocked. We got great parking, directly across from the stadium. Everything was going perfect. We started walking into the stadium, and then...
I got hit by a kid on a bike.
I'm not kiddig. Dead on. He wasn't looking and I was trying to get out of the way and it just didn't work. My body stopped the bike from moving.
I swear, I thought my father was going to pass out from laughing so much. It actually was really funny. I was okay- nothing broken or hurt- just some scratches. Nothiing was stopping me from getting into that stadium, so I didn't really care. It was funny.
We get to the suite. I have no other words to describe it other then AMAZING. I am never going to a game again unless it's in a suite. This has ruined me. IT HAD IT'S OWN PRIVATE BATHROOM. Yes, private bathroom. That is what sold me on it. Yes- I'm so classy it hurts.
They had a fully stocked kitchen waiting for us- all the food, drinks, alcohol we could ever want! It was perfect. and AIR CONDITIONED! My father and I had SUCH a good time. We were in shock the whole time. For that one second, we understood what it was like for the wealthy.
It was really nice, but it was different. You looked across all of the suites and saw all of these business men and women- all classy - coming straight from work. In our suite- it was all the fathers/daughters decked out in our Yankee's shirts and jeans. I like that better. I may love the air conditioning and the private bathroom- but I love more being a regular fan. It was comforting to sit with all of the people in our suite.
I am so fortunate to have won this prize. I am so happy I was able to experience everything with my father. We had such a good time! Ah, just perfect!

We get into the stadium- free t-shirt day! I love free stuff. We got our shirts and started towards the suite entrance. It was like a fairytale. Gorgeous. There was stadium employees at every corner to make sure we were okay and asked if we needed anything.

We're Going to be on TV TOMORROW!
Hey Everyone!
Jewels for Hope will be on WTNH News Channel 8 Tomorrow Morning!!! Yes, you read that correctly. We will be on at 7:22 tomorrow morning! It's going to be a 4 minute segment, so be sure to catch us!
I'm super nervous about this. I hope I don't freeze up or stutter too much. We are setting up a nice table of all of our creations and we will be standing behind them talking. So no walking around. Which makes me smile since I am known to trip over my own feet.
This is big for us. I can't believe this is all actually happening! First the newspaper article. Then the meeting in NY. Now News Channel 8! Woo Hoo! This is great for us. I am still in shock over this. It really hasn't hit me yet- I know later on tonight I probably won't get any sleep at all. Fingers crossed I don't have huge bags under my eyes tomorrow morning!
So Wish Us Luck!!!!!!!
