They Say It's Your Birthday.....

Today is my mother/business partner's 60th birthday! In honor of this wonderful woman, I wanted to write a quick post about her.

I love my mom. She is my best friend. She is such an amazing business partner and an extremely talented jewelry artist. I have learned so much from her over the years and I am so lucky to have her as my mom. She's a bit crazy... and I wouldn't have it any other way.

So here's to you mom! Enjoy your day, you beautiful, beautiful soul.

As Seen on TV- Bones Edition #SeenOnTv #Bones

As FOX's Bones is coming to an end, we felt it appropriate to do an entire blog post about the jewelry we have had featured on this awesome show. My mother has been a fan of this show since the beginning and when we first found out our jewelry was to be worn on this show, she completely flipped out (okay, so did I). We have been lucky enough to have THREE of our pieces worn on the show (thank you shoutout to The Artisan Group!)

Our first piece worn on the show was this simple and delicate Swarovski Pearl Necklace. This piece is actually one of our biggest sellers, since it can pretty much be worn with anything and is a great piece for everyday wear.

That ear shown on the right is the gorgeous David Boreonaz. Good thing we didn't get his face in the shot or I would become distracted... but I digress....

Next up on the show is our Boho Turquoise and Red Beaded Earrings worn by the lovely Emily Deschanel. These earrings are my favorite, because I love a pop of turquoise, especially in the summer!

Finally, and most recently, we had our Turquoise and Silver Feather Earrings worn in the last season of this show. Personally, I found this screen shot to be perfect as the last placement for the season. I feel this woman is similar to me, a terrified look on her face while arms filled with crap that at any minute could fall out and drop everywhere. Seems like she is my spirit animal.

We will miss Bones and we're sad to see it leave the air, but honored that we can say we have had 3 of our pieces worn on the show.

Music is Life #MusicLover #CharityJewelry

Music is a part of who we are. We have music on in the house at every minute of every day. We work better with it, we get inspired by it, we feel it in our blood.

When we had the opportunity to work with a country music singer to create a line of jewelry for her a couple of years ago, we jumped at the chance! We connected with Rose Falcon Atkins by donating a piece of jewelry to her event she was throwing, that donated the proceeds to breast cancer awareness. Since that day, we have worked with Rose and were lucky enough to have her rock some of our jewels (along with her husband Rodney Atkins) throughout their tours, on the CMA Awards Red Carpet, and in publications such as Country Style Magazine.

Music really is life for us and the fact that a couple of brilliant musicians wear our pieces is something we are beyond proud of.

We even were lucky enough to meet both of them when they stopped through Connecticut on tour! They are so sweet (and good looking) in real life! We are so happy to have connected with them.

Don't mind my hair. It's huge and crazy here.... which is what it's like normally, but it was summer here and the humidity made it 10x worse. At this exact moment I was afraid Rodney's hand was going to get stuck in it when he was putting his arm around me.

On that note, if you want to check out their pieces they are rocking in these photos, take a look at our site!

Thirty, Flirty, and Fabulous

I turned 30 towards the end of 2016. The big 3-0. I still can't really believe it. My youngest sister just turned 23 earlier this month and that even shocks me. For my 30th, I really wanted to do a cute photoshoot (on a budget) and my family helped out so much! If only anyone else saw this madness, they would think we were crazy.

We were all in the back yard, moving around a sheet for me to sit on, accessories and cameras trying to find a way for me to look pretty and poised without looking like a hot mess I was just a random person sitting in the grass.

My sisters and parents were all trying to make me laugh, while taking photos of me sitting there grinning like a weirdo. I had rose petals (which were flying everywhere), bottles (which didn't show up in most photos) and a random bag in the background with a sash folded randomly over it.

I have to say though... Even though it does look quite a bit like a hot mess, I love the picture I went with. My dress and hair look great if I say so myself, and I picked the perfect necklace to match it all ( it even sold out on our site... so check out the Ironman Pendant we have in it's place!)

Have you ever done a faux photoshoot for yourself? Did it come out as you expected? I personally think mine, being  bit hectic and crazy is exactly how it should be. My wackjob family, running around trying to make my vision come true... I wouldn't have it any other way.

AromatherapyJewelry - Look Good, Feel Good, Do Good

In the past year or so we have come to love our essential oils. One of our loyal customers actually turned us on to it, asking if we created aromatherapy jewelry... We never knew our Black Lava Stone bracelets that we already created, can also be used to add essential oils to. Ever since that day, we've been hooked and never leave the house without one on.

If you're unfamiliar with aromatherapy jewelry, the black lava stone we incorporate onto our bracelets holds the smell of your favorite essential oil. All you have to do is put 1-2 drops on and breathe in deep. Now, we are not licenced doctors or specialists in this field, but from personal experience, we absolutely love them. They help us relax... which is exactly why we think they go so perfectly with our brand. Since Jewels For Hope was founded by a caregiver (my mother), and caregivers really need some time to relax... our aromatherapy jewelry is meant to be.

What else do you think of when you want to relax? Wine. Wine and aromatherapy bracelets.... that's pretty much our lives.

One single black lava stone on a beaded bracelet, to an entire bracelet full of them... you can use your essential oils on either.

Have you ever tried essential oils? We would love to hear your thoughts on them!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Since I'm not entirely sure I'll be hitting the town tonight (I'm not as young as I used to be), I'm throwing it back to the summer when I had on my Blue and Green Stone Bracelet, sipping a cocktail at a 60th birthday party. Since there's green in the photo I feel it's acceptable to post for the holiday, right?

For everyone going out and celebrating the holiday today, be safe! Feel free to have a drink for me... make sure it's green.

Spring Things

Spring is right around the corner, even though I'm looking out the window and snow is covering the ground, in my head I believe Spring will be here soon. I can't wait for the time to wear pastels, sit in the sunshine with a cold drink in my hand and just relax.

Since no one wants to see me bundled up in a blanket wearing sweat pants making jewelry, I'll show off some of my favorite spring photos our charity creations are featured in. Soon, I keep telling myself. Soon, we'll be able to wear tank tops and have the warmth of the sun shining down us. Until then...

From kids to mens, to wedding accessories, our spring things can fit everyone. Looking at the photos is getting me excited for warmer weather. We've been working on some great spring pieces that we plan on adding to the shop soon. Keep an eye out for them!

Men's Charity Jewelry Line

This past year has been an exciting one for Jewels For Hope. Our unisex line has really picked up and has been a huge hit.

Our leather wrap bracelets have been popping up all over the place. They were recently seen on Girlfriends Guide To Divorce and Empire!

Actor Will Kemp, who plays Scott on GG2D along with currently staring in the CW's show Reign, is a big fan of our charity jewels. He's seen all over Instagram wearing our bracelets, along with wearing them in the first couple of episodes of this season on Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce.

It is super sweet when a celebrity shouts out an artist or brand on social media. Will has been such a nice man, he has shouted us out along with consistently wearing our creations in his personal photos.

This bracelet set donates 10% of the profits to STARelief Pet Assistance, a program helping reduce the number of pets in shelters.
Feel free to head on over to Will Kemp's Instagram account and follow him! He is a wonderful person and such a great actor. We are lucky to have connected with Will, through The Artisan Group (TAG). TAG has brought us so many wonderful opportunities, we are so happy to be a part of their group.
